Surprisingly, we have received noticeably more inquiries about "goldsmith courses" since the beginning of the Corona pandemic. After we initially - although most people in Germany - had hoped for the pandemic to subside in early summer 2020, it became clear by autumn at the latest that the initially slight swell of the pandemic was unfortunately only of short duration.
Shortly after the start of the first wave in spring 2020, we therefore decided to goldsmith courses initially to be temporarily discontinued, as wearing a mask or complying with distance rules was hardly compatible with the requirements of a goldsmith course.
In the meantime, however, we have rebuilt our workshop room for the goldsmith courses and adapted it to the new requirements of this pandemic. With our Corona security concept, we are mainly based on the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute (“RKI”) and the Federal government. These include, among other things Suggestions on the possible avoidance of the transmission of corona viruses through the air (e.g. through so-called aerosols) as well as suggestions for suitable ones Hygiene measures. Structural shielding of the course area
We have now divided our course room for the goldsmith courses into two separate areas: By erecting a partition made of stable transparent film, all course participants have access to the area with the course workplaces throughout the duration the goldsmith course exclusive to disposal. Your course instructor will look after you from your workbench behind the newly built partition. From our point of view, a significant exchange of air between the two areas is almost impossible during your presence.
At the beginning of the course, you enter your course area through a lockable foil door - if desired with mouth and nose protection. The small entrance area in front of it with the outer door and the work table of the course leader will be aired out by us beforehand. You are of course welcome to do without wearing a mouth and nose protector in your course room, as it will be worn throughout the course Course area used exclusively by you and your companions is.
If necessary, the goldsmith object you have designed can be exchanged between you and the course leader using a small drawer built into the partition. In this way, you will receive intensive technical support in the production of your object at all times, despite the spatial separation.
No presence of strangers in the course area
Throughout the duration of the goldsmith course we make sure that no strangers enter your course area. So you can completely relax and concentrate on the creation of your goldsmith object.
Exclusive use of the sanitary facilities
During the goldsmith course, sanitary facilities are available to you in an adjoining building if required exclusively from you be used. Before the start of the course, all sanitary facilities were disinfected and ventilated by us. Of course, the disinfectants are still available there.
Comprehensive ventilation of the course room
Before and after each goldsmith course, we thoroughly air the workshop room. This is achieved above all with a particularly powerful fan in the entrance area, which can be switched off after just a few minutes with the help of the two opposite entrance doors to the course area all the air renewed in the classroom.
Disinfection of the course workplaces
All tools, systems and facilities available to you in the separate course area will be checked by us before the start of each course disinfected. Of course, this also applies to the heated floor of our course room.
