Handcrafted Enamel
This pendant in the form of a medieval disc fibula was elaborately enameled by hand, fired in the enamelling furnace at around 800 degrees and then ground and discreetly polished. From our point of view, this creates a cheap and yet very convincing alternative to the individually hand-cut and therefore very expensive almandine plates.
The enamel also points with his crackle and the pores typical of enamel have all the characteristics of original medieval enamel. The ornament in the center is also true to the original on the shrine of the Three Kings in Cologne.
Only the pendant is sold, without the chain shown.
