Description
An almost true to the original replica of a Roman pendant in 925/- sterling silver plated with fine gold.
Analogous to the historical model with a real emerald (true to the original as a rough stone) in the center.
With all-round "braid wire", grooved eyelet with decorative balls and decoration at the end of the pendant.
The pendant is marked on the back with the studio stamp and the silver content stamp “925”.
In order to get as close as possible to the antique model, the pendant was worked in a similar "imperfect" way, as was done by the Roman goldsmith at that time: The pendant is not completely symmetrical and the stone setting was pressed on to follow the shape of the stone, as was the case with the historical original. All surfaces show the processing marks typical of the time. Modern perfection was deliberately avoided.
