At the end of 2017, I received the extraordinary order from a customer in Bonn to make a replica of a historic ring from the 18th century, which unfortunately had been stolen from him shortly before.
The only template I used was a photo of the lost ring and my customer's verbal descriptions. For the replica should be a historical Intaglio-Stone can be used, which my customer made available from his collection.
Corresponding to the original, I made a true-to-original replica in 750/- yellow, white and rose gold. My customer accompanied the production with several visits to my studio in order to follow the manufacturing process closely 😉 and to be able to bring in any change requests.
In the end, a visibly satisfied customer left with his favorite 18th-century-style ring, which he had finally regained, and the comment "... it's even more beautiful than the original..." my studio.
