In April 2014 a very interesting customer came to me who had a very large ancient coin with the image Alexander the Great wanted to have taken as a finger ring.
In December 2015, the same customer read a second ring with a slightly smaller coin of Alexander the Great for his wife make.
The customer had very precise ideas about what his new rings should look like and brought already prepared drafts with him, which I was then able to add to with my own suggestions for implementation.
The first and larger ring was made of 925/- silver with a particularly expansive setting for the large coin.
For the second ring, I made a wax mold of the desired ring the following year as “lost form“, which would then serve as a mold for the new ring. The wax mold was adapted exactly to the shape of the ancient coin.
Finally, just in time for Christmas, I was able to deliver the second ring in 925/- silver with a center made of 750/- red gold to a completely satisfied customer.
